Living in midcoast Maine I am drawn to the islands, rocky coast and land trusts under Maine's amazing light. I look for weather days along the coast, explore rivers and marshes, discovering waterfalls and streams hidden deep in the woods.

My palette reflects the Munsell theory of color. Using the Munsell color wheel's five principal colors and its complements, my work reflects stronger, more exciting color.

After working with oil and pastel, I find acrylic supports my painting goals and appreciate the flexibility this exciting medium provides.
