The journey began studying oils at the Ridgewood Art Institute, following the principles of Frank Vincent DuMond,  noted American impressionist and teacher. This beginning encouraged me to study new mediums, including pastel and acrylic with talented painters who shared their gifts and knowledge.

From my  early training I continued showing my work at juried art shows, both in person and on-line, from Virginia to Maine, meeting new collectors and art lovers, giving me the wonderful opportunity to introduce my work and grow.  Five months of each year find me painting in my midcoast Maine studio as I continually seek out new subjects to interpret and share with you.  Hopeful you have enjoyed your time on the site, please visit often as new work is always being added.  Art sustains us all.

""We work in the dark - we do what we can - we give what we have.   Our doubt is our passion and our passion is our task. The rest is the madness of art."     Henry James
